AiRich (pronounced ‘I-Rich’) is a Dutch visual artist based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. AiRich brings together the past and the future to create her Afro-futuristic superbeings.
She uses portrait photography as a medium to tell inspiring stories, which are primarily inspired by Black mythology and science fiction.
The characters in her work are usually portrayed by models whose features and appearance do not conform to Western standards of beauty, which underscores the importance of rediscovering and redefining Black identity.
