GoYa Quartet Amsterdam

The GoYa Quartet Amsterdam was founded in 2014. The four young musicians, from Belgium, Cuba, Japan, and France, respectively, met while playing in the Concertgebouw Orchestra and have forged close bonds based on musical affinity and deep friendship. The GoYa Quartet Amsterdam has already given many concerts in the Netherlands and Belgium, including performances in the Kleine Zaal at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. In April 2016, they also embarked on their first tour through Latvia, Estonia, and Lithuania.

After winning the prestigious Prix de Salon, the ensemble was able to record two live performances of all the string quartets by Brahms and Schumann. In 2019, the GoYa Quartet Amsterdam was a guest at the Quartz International String Quartet Festival in Belgium, where they performed Mendelssohn’s Octet with the Danel Quartet.
