Izak Hudnik Zajec has been a cellist with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra since November 2024. Izak Hudnik initially studied with Miloš Mlejnik in Ljubljana and with Reinhard Latzko in Vienna. After studying with Giovanni Gnocchi at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg, he continued his training at the Zurich University of the Arts with Thomas Grossenbacher, specializing in contemporary music under Martina Schucan. Izak Hudnik is not only a musician. As a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana, he specializes in a phenomenological approach to music, focusing on musical immersion during performance.
