Ensemble Lumaka, based in Amsterdam, is currently one of the most active chamber music ensembles in the Netherlands and is unique in its harp-flute-string trio configuration and distinctive sound. Lumaka’s 15-year career began with victories at competitions such as the Almere International Chamber Music Competition and Het Debuut. Since then, the ensemble has performed regularly both at home and abroad and is frequently featured on Radio 4 and the Concertzender. They have also released three beautiful CDs. In recent years, the ensemble has increasingly focused on music from around 1920. As a result, Lumaka is now regarded as the preeminent ensemble for music from that era.
