The IJ-salon’s productions give the Concertgebouw Orchestra’s outstanding musicians the opportunity to showcase their individual talents in a more intimate setting and to engage in new and surprising collaborations. This presents them with a personal challenge in terms of their craftsmanship, which is why everyone is eager to participate. Since the foundation was established, more than 90 of the 120 musicians have contributed to the productions.
