Sanne Hunfeld studied violin with Lex Korff de Gidts at the Sweelinck Conservatory in Amsterdam, where she earned her bachelor’s degree with honors in 2004. She then continued her studies at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with David Takeno, where she earned her master’s degree, also with honors, in 2005. She completed her studies with Peter Brunt at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. In March 2011, Hunfeld joined the Concertgebouw Orchestra as a second violinist. Sanne is also active as a chamber musician. In October 2018, Hunfeld won the Prix de Salon—an annual award presented by the Concertgebouw Orchestra’s business club to a young orchestra member—for her idea to arrange and perform children’s songs from around the world with orchestra members.
