Sylvia Huang

an enchanting Belgian violinist

Belgian violinist Sylvia Huang (b. 1994) learned the craft from her father and continued her studies at the Académie des Arts de la Ville de Bruxelles. She won first prizes at the Belfius Classics National Music Competition in 2004 and the Lions European Music Competition in 2008. Since August 2014, she has been the concertmaster of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and the first violinist of the GoYa Quartet Amsterdam.
Sylvia has participated in various international festivals, such as the B-Klassiek Festival of Flanders and Échappées Musicales du Médoc. In May 2019, she was named a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition and received the Prix Musiq3 du Public and the Canvas-Klara Prize.
