The Soldier's Tale

The story of a violin-playing soldier who outwits the devil has been enchanting audiences for a century. Multidisciplinary artist Hamza Badi is creating a new production especially for this edition. Badi is a contemporary artist from Morocco. His work straddles the line between art and activism through visual media, videos, and digital content that he shares on social media platforms. His interpretation of *L’Histoire du Soldat* will undoubtedly also reveal his activist side.

Alongside Stravinsky, programmer Hein Wiedijk has included a work by the Dutch pianist and composer Thomas Beijer. Wiedijk commissioned the piece as a tribute to his favorite vacation destination: Levanto.
