Vivaldi’s *The Four Seasons* and Moore

Vivaldi’s *Four Seasons* is on every classical music “must-hear” list. And rightly so, because few pieces capture the imagination quite like this timeless classic. There are too many fantastic violinists in the Concertgebouw Orchestra to limit the program to just one soloist. That’s why four different soloists will take the lead in this program, under the direction of concertmaster Tjeerd Top.

Like Vivaldi, the Australian-Dutch composer Kate Moore draws her inspiration from nature. Moore has curated this program and is creating a new arrangement of her composition *Arc-en-ciel*, for cello and chamber orchestra, especially for this occasion.
