The Program Fuensanta & Friends was created by a charismatic musician from Mexico who sings, composes, and also plays the double bass. Fuensanta is a welcome guest at major jazz festivals and, of course, at the Bimhuis as well.
(Not) a Fairy Tale That was the title of the program presented by the National Composer, Anne-Maartje Lemereis. She naturally included her own compositions, but also featured works by her favorite composers, such as Stravinsky and Edvard Grieg.
Lucie & Klaus featured two stars: the versatile Lucie Horsch and principal conductor and cellist Klaus Mäkelä. Rosa Meertens drew inspiration for her designs from the upcoming Chinese New Year.
Round and Pointed was created by Kikki Géron. Kikki has put together a full-scale theater production based on the play The Roundheads and the Pointyheads by Bertolt Brecht, with music by Hanns Eisler. The play premiered at the IJ-Salon. She then took the production to various venues in Germany.
Mahler's Fifth Symphony was performed by Camerata RCO under the inspired baton of one of the greatest conducting talents we have encountered in recent years: Aurel Dawidiuk, the first holder of the Haitink Chair (assistant conductor at the KCO). .
